SHRI SATPAL BRAHAMCHARI: SHRI JAI PARKASH: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण मं(cid:361)ी be pleased to state: (a) the details of total quantity of agricultural commodities currently procured at Minimum Support Price (MSP) in the country; (b) whether the purchase of paddy at MSP is the main source of income for farmers in Haryana; (c) the details of total number of metric tonnes of paddy purchased at MSP in Haryana in the years 2023-24 and 2024-25 and the amount paid for the said purpose; (d) whether millet producing farmers in Haryana are paid compensation under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana; and (e) the amount per quintal fixed under price difference compensation on Bajra who got in Haryana in the year 2023-24 and the number of farmers who got the said benefit? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण रा(cid:475) मं(cid:361)ी (SHRI RAMNATH THAKUR) (a): Goverenment implements Price Support Scheme (PSS) under the integrated scheme of PM- AASHA for procurement of Fair Average Quality (FAQ) notified pulses, oilseeds and copra at Minimum Support Price (MSP) to provide the remunerative price to farmers. PSS is implemented on the request of State/UT Govt. as and when the market prices fall below the notified MSP. The procurement of paddy, wheat and Coarsegrains is undertaken by Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution. The Cotton and Jute are procured by the Ministry of Textiles. The details of paddy, pulses, oilseeds, coarse grains and cotton procured during Kharif 2025-26 Season at MSP are enclosed at Annexure-I. (b) & (c): During the year 2023-24 and 2024-25, 58.94 LMT and 53.99 LMT of paddy were procured respectively having the MSP value of 12,984.95 cr and 12,524.90 cr. respectively in the state of Haryana. (d): As per the information received from Government of Haryana, farmers are paid compensation for the difference between predetermined Minimum Support Price (MSP) and the market price of Bajra crop under Bhawanter Bharpayee Scheme. (e): The State Govt. of Haryana has provided Rs. 300/- quintal under Bhawanter Bharpayee Yojana for Bajra to the farmers through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) during Kharif 2023.
