NAPS 2.0 IN ANDHRA PRADESH
134. SHRI KESINENI SIVANATH:
Will the Minister of SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP be pleased to
state:
(a) the total number of apprenticeships provided under the National Apprenticeship
Promotion Scheme (NAPS) 2.0 in the Andhra Pradesh, district and year-wise;
(b) the details of employers and industries in Andhra Pradesh enrolled under NAPS 2.0
for providing apprenticeship opportunities, district, year and sector-wise;
(c) the total number of students enrolled under the said scheme in Andhra Pradesh,
district, year and sector-wise; and
(d) the total amount of funds disbursed under NAPS 2.0, during the last five years and the
current year, year-wise?

(a) National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) was launched in August 2016. The
scheme was extended to continue as NAPS-2 from FY 2022-23. Under, NAPS 2.0, the stipend
support by Government of India (GoI) is paid through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank
account of apprentices. The number of apprentices engaged in the State of Andhra Pradesh
from FY 2022-23 till FY 2026-27 (upto 30.06.2026) is 93,094. The details of district-wise and
year-wise apprentices engaged in the State of Andhra Pradesh are given in the Table I of
Annexure.
b) Under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme, apprenticeship training is conducted
within an establishment/industry. The number of establishment/ industries in Andhra Pradesh
which have engaged apprentices under NAPS 2.0 (FY 2022-23 till FY 2026-27 (upto
30.06.2026)) are 1,135 unique establishments. The district-wise, year-wise and sector-wise
details of establishment/ industries which have engaged apprentices in the State of Andhra
Pradesh are given in the Table II & Table III of Annexure.
c) The number of apprentices engaged/enrolled in the State of Andhra Pradesh from FY
2022-23 till FY 2026-27 (upto 30.06.2026) is 93,094. The details of district-wise, year-wise and
sector-wise apprentices engaged in the State of Andhra Pradesh are given in the Table I &
Table IV of Annexure.
d) The details of the fund released to the State of Andhra Pradesh during the last five years
