(a) the details of total funds allocated and released to States under the National Mission
on Natural Farming (NMNF) since its inception, year and State-wise;
(b) the total number of bio-input resource centres set up under the mission since its
inception; and
(c) the total funds allocated and released towards setting up of these centres, State-wise?

QUESTION NO. 243 DUE FOR ANSWER ON 10TH MARCH, 2026 REGARDING
“NATIONAL MISSION ON NATURAL FARMING”
(a): National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) was approved by the Union Cabinet
on 25.11.2024 for promoting chemical free farming; involving livestock (preferably local
breed of cow), integrated natural farming methods and diversified crop systems. For
financial year 2025-26 allocation for NMNF is Rs.72,500 Lakh. The State wise details of
the funds allocated and released under NMNF scheme till date is given at Annexure-I.
(b): Total number of Bio Resource Centres (BRCs) set up under NMNF are 6,339
since inception.
(c) : The funds released by the Government to the States/Union Territories under the
Mission includes the funds for setting up of BRCs. State wise list of BRCs is at Annexure-
II. NMNF provides assistance @ Rs. 1 Lakh per BRC.Annexure - I
