SHRI SELVAGANAPATHI T.M.: Will the Minister of TEXTILES वस्त्र मंत्री be pleased to state : (a) whether of the Government is considering extending the validity of the National Technical Textiles Mission by another two years; (b) whether it is also true that the Mission could spend only 50 percent of the amount allocated to, if so, the reasons thereof; and (c) whether the export of technical textiles has been declining continuously for the last several months, if so, the reasons and the details thereof? उत्तर ANSWER वस्त्र मंत्री (श्री गिरििाज ग िंह) MINISTER OF TEXTILES (SHRI GIRIRAJ SINGH) (a) & (b): A proposal to extend the validity of the National Technical Textiles Mission (NTTM) by another two years is under examination. Out of the total outlay of Rs. 1,480 crore, projects/interventions worth about Rs. 850 crore have been allocated under various components of NTTM, of which Rs. 540.86 crore have been released as of February, 2026. Fund utilization in the research projects is a dynamic process from commencement to logical conclusion of defined milestones. The timeline of majority of the research projects is 2 to 3 years from date of sanction. Accordingly, funds are released in instalments, based on the consequent achievement of project milestones as per the Detailed Project Report (DPR). (c): The exports of technical textiles from India have shown a steady growth. Details of exports in the last two years and current year are as under:- F.Y.
