(a): The details of total subsidy provided under the Nutrient-Based Subsidy (NBS)
Scheme for fertilizers during the last three financial year (from 2022-23 to 2024-25)

(b): To ensure the timely availability and affordability of fertilizers to farmers across
various regions of the country, including Rajasthan, the Government has put in place
a structured and closely monitored system. Before the commencement of each
cropping season, the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (DA&FW), in
consultation with State Governments, undertakes an assessment of fertilizer
requirements on a state-wise and month-wise basis. Based on this, the Department of
Fertilizers (DoF) allocates adequate quantities of fertilizers through a monthly supply
plan and continuously monitors the availability. The movement of all major subsidized
fertilizers is monitored throughout the country by an on-line web-based monitoring
system called Integrated Fertilizer Monitoring System (iFMS), and regular weekly
video conferences are held jointly by DA&FW and Department of Fertilizers with State
Agriculture Officials to ensure efficient coordination and to address any emerging
supply-related issues. While the Department of Fertilizers oversees the availability and
movement of fertilizers up to the State level, the distribution within the State, including
in districts like Jalore and Sirohi, is managed by the respective State Government.
Details for Fertilizer Availability in Rajasthan State for Kharif-2025 (from 01.04.2025
to 22.07.2025): -
The availability of Urea, DAP, and NPKS in the state of Rajasthan has been
adequate during the ongoing Kharif 2025 season (till 22.07.2025). As on 22.07.2025,-3-
8.75 LMTs of Urea, has been made available in the state of Rajasthan against the pro-
rata requirement of 5.52 LMTs. However, the sale of Urea in the said period has been
only 6.39 LMTs and state is having a closing stock of 2.36 LMTs of Urea. Further, as
on 22.07.2025, 2.27 LMTs of DAP, has been made available in the state of Rajasthan
against the pro-rata requirement of 2.99 LMTs. However, the sale of DAP in the said
period has been only 1.66 LMTs and state is having a closing stock of 0.61 LMTs.
Moreover, as on 22.07.2025, 1.59 LMTs of NPKS, has been made available in the
state of Rajasthan against the pro-rata requirement of 0.68 LMTs. However, the sale
of NPKS in the said period has been only 0.85 LMTs and state is having a closing
stock of 0.74 LMTs of NPKS.
