Will the Minister of YOUTH AFFAIRS AND SPORTS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has provided any financial assistance under the โOne State One Game (OSOG)โ initiative, across the country, States/ UT-wise;
(b) if so, the details of the funds sanctioned and released for soft components such as coaching, sports science equipment, sports equipment and support staff, year and State/UT-wise;
(c) the number and the status of Khelo India State Centres of Excellence
(KISCEs) aligned with OSOG principle, including the sports disciplines supported, in State/UT-wise; and
(d) the criteria adopted by the Government for extending financial assistance and evaluating State-specific aptitude for Olympic disciplines? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF YOUTH AFFAIRS & SPORTS [ DR. MANSUKH MANDAVIYA ]
(a) to (d) Sportsโ being a State subject, the responsibility of development of sports, including sanctioning and releasing funds for soft components such as coaching, sports science equipment, sports equipment and support staff and extending financial assistance and evaluating State- specific aptitude for Olympic disciplines, rests primarily with the respective State/Union Territory Governments. The Union Government only supplements their efforts by bridging critical gaps. However, under the Khelo India Scheme, financial assistance is provided to States/UTs Page 1 of 2and other eligible entities for sports development activities, including sports equipment, coaching and talent development and operation of Khelo India Centres (KICs), Khelo India State Centres of Excellence
(KISCEs). State/UT-wise number and status of KISCE aligned with OSOG principle, including the sports disciplines supported, are available on the
Khelo India Dashboard at https://dashboard.kheloindia.gov.in.
Funds are sanctioned and released Scheme-wise and not State-wise or component-wise in this Ministry. Details of funds released under Khelo India Scheme across the country, including for soft components such as coaching, sports science equipment, sports equipment and support staff
during the last five years and the current year are as under:

The proposals received from the State/ UT Government and other eligible entities are considered for financial support, subject to their completeness, technical feasibility and availability of funds under the scheme.
