**Summary:**
In response to Lok Sabha Unstarred Question No. 2622, the Minister of State for Textiles addressed the progress and status of the PM MITRA (Pradhan Mantri Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel) Scheme as of August 5, 2025. The scheme, envisioned as a "one-stop solution" for the textile value chain from farm to finished product, aims to develop large-scale, integrated, world-class industrial facilities to enhance the Indian textile industry's scale, reduce logistics costs, and improve competitiveness, aligning with the 5F vision (Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign).
Seven sites have been approved for PM MITRA Parks, one each in Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh. Infrastructure development is underway, with state governments initiating external infrastructure works worth Rs 1,197.33 crore until the park gates. Expenditures of Rs. 291.61 crore have been incurred, and works worth Rs. 399.26 crore are in various stages of implementation.

(a) whether the introduction of the PM-MITRA Scheme in the Textile sector to provide a one-stop
solution for the textile value chain from farm to finished product has achieved its desired objectives;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government is contemplating introducing the 2nd Phase of the Scheme and receiving
proposals for the same and if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether any such parks will be established in the State of Andhra Pradesh and if so, the details
thereof; and
(e) the status of the implementation of the scheme as on date?

(a) to (e): The Government has approved 7 (Seven) sites for setting up of PM MITRA Parks, one
each in Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Uttar Pradesh.
The PM MITRA Scheme aims to develop large scale and integrated world class industrial
facilities to help Indian textiles industry to build scale, reduce logistics costs and improve its
competitiveness. Inspired by the 5F vision (Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign), PM
MITRA Parks will enable India’s textile industry to achieve global size and scale along with the creation
of a modern and integrated textile value chain at one location.
Infrastructure works worth Rs 1,197.33 cr for providing external infrastructure till the Park gates
have been started by various State Governments and an expenditure of Rs. 291.61crores have been
incurred so far. Works worth Rs. 399.26 are at various stages of implementation. A Rs. 2,063
crore development plan for PM MITRA Park Madhya Pradesh has been approved while a similar plan
for Tamil Nadu worth Rs. 1,894 Cr. has also been approved.
In Madhya Pradesh, Engineering, Procurement and Constructions (EPC) package worth Rs. 773
cr inviting tenders for infrastructure development was floated on June 30, 2025. In PM MITRA park
