Will the Minister of FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the number of food processing units currently operational in Telangana;
(b) the subsidies and financial assistance extended by the Union Government to these units;
and
(c) the data of food products exported from Telangana including the value and volume
thereof?

(a) & (b): Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing two Central Sector
Schemes namely Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) and Production Linked
Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI). Further, a Centrally sponsored
scheme namely PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) scheme is
also being implemented by MoFPI. These three schemes are being implemented across the
country including Telangana.
Under PMFME Scheme, MoFPI has sanctioned 7005 proposals with a total subsidy of
Rs 96.38 crores in the State of Telangana.
Under PLISFPI, MoFPI has approved proposals at 13 locations with committed
investment of Rs 201.04 crores in the State of Telangana.
