SHRI GAJENDRA SINGH PATEL: Will the Minister of AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण मं(cid:361)ी be pleased to state: (a) the details of the work undertaken under organic certification in Khargone Parliamentary constituency and Barwani district since the year 2010 till date, year-wise, bodies-wise along with the number of involved therein; (b) the details of Project Directors involved in all the projects undertaken by the Certification Bodies (CB) and the list of participating farmers, location-wise and year-wise along with the names of crops covered thereunder; (c) the name of the projects under which the TC (Transaction Certificate) was issued by Certification Bodies (CB) along with details thereof year-wise, production-wise and project- wise; (d) whether the Certification Bodies (CB) or projects have been suspended or blacklisted; and (e) if so, the details thereof? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण रा(cid:475) मं(cid:361)ी (SHRI RAMNATH THAKUR) (a): The Government is implementing organic certification program namely, Participatory Guarantee System of India (PGS-India) through National Centre for Organic and Natural farming under Ministry of Agriculture and farmers’ Welfare and National the National Programme for Organic Production (NPOP) through Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) under Ministry of Commerce & Industries. Details of organic certification under PGS-India and NPOP in Khargone and Barwani districts along with number of certification bodies is enclosed at Annexure 1.(b): As per available records, as on date, there are 4712 active Organic grower groups covering around 19,29,243 farmers certified by the accredited certification bodies under NPOP. Details of the certified operators are available on public domain under the respective certification body’s website. Links are enclosed at Annexure 2. (c) to (e): The system for Organic Certification under NPOP involves a third-party certification system of organic processes and organic produce, which is certified across the supply chain by a certification body (CB) Govt. or private. Accreditation to the Certification Bodies is granted by the National Accreditation Body (NAB) operating under NPOP. The National Accreditation Body also maintains oversight over the Certification Bodies and takes appropriate action wherever deviation/violations are observed in the certification programme of the Certification Bodies. As per available records, during 2024-25, around 11530 transaction certificates were issued to 1900 grower groups by their respective certification bodies.
