SHRI SADANAND MHALU SHET TANAVADE: SHRI DEEPAK PRAKASH: SHRI MAYANKKUMAR NAYAK: SHRI AMAR PAL MAURYA: SHRI UJJWAL DEORAO NIKAM: SHRI RYAGA KRISHNAIAH: Will the Minister of FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES be pleased to state: (a) the number of micro food processing enterprises assisted under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme during the last three years, State-wise, including Jharkhand; (b) the details of credit-linked subsidies, training and capacity-building support provided to beneficiaries under the Scheme, especially in Maharashtra, district-wise; and (c) whether any assessment has been undertaken regarding its impact on formalisation, employment and income generation in the sector, if so, the details thereof? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES (SHRI RAVNEET SINGH) (a): Under the Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme, loans for 1,33,961 micro food processing enterprises have been sanctioned during the last three years including 3,576 loans sanctioned in the State of Jharkhand. The State-wise and Year- wise details are at Annexure-I. (b): Under the PMFME Scheme, as on 31st December 2025, loans for 1,72,707 micro food processing enterprises have been sanctioned and 1,36,723 beneficiaries have been trained across the country. Out of which, loans for 27,360 micro food processing enterprises have been sanctioned and 38,182 beneficiaries have been trained in the State of Maharashtra. The district-wise details for the State of Maharashtra are at Annexure-II. (c): Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) has conducted a third-party mid-term impact evaluation of the PMFME scheme to assess the impact of the scheme during FY 2024-25. The assessment indicates that the Scheme has made significant progress in formalisation of the unorganised food processing sector, with 59,202 enterprises brought into the formal framework through registrations such as Goods and Service Tax (GST), Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and Udyam, as on 31st December 2025. The Scheme has supported creation of more than 10 lakh employment opportunities. The PMFME beneficiaries have reported increase in average turnover by about 1.7 times after availing support under the Scheme.
