(a) the details of the physical progress of water supply and water body
rejuvenation projects under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban
Transformation 2.0 (AMRUT 2.0) in West Bengal, particularly in Darjeeling
and Kalimpong districts;
(b) the details of households in cities where sewerage and tap water
connections have been provided under the AMRUT in Darjeeling and
Kalimpong districts since 2019, year-wise; and
(c) the physical progress and the current status of projects sanctioned for
Darjeeling and Kalimpong districts along with the amount of funds
sanctioned, released and utilised under AMRUT 2.0?

(a) to (c): Under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation
2.0 (AMRUT 2.0), the States/ Union Territories are empowered to select,
appraise, prioritise and implement the projects within broad framework of
Mission guidelines. The State of West Bengal has taken 209 water supply
projects worth ₹9,451.54 crore. Out of this, 187 projects worth ₹7,403.99
crore have been awarded, of which works worth ₹3,018.06 crore has been
physically completed. The State has taken 123 water body rejuvenation
projects worth ₹161.20 crore. Out of which 57 projects worth ₹79.29 crore
have been awarded of which works worth ₹27.82 crore has been
physically completed.
The State has taken 04 water supply projects worth ₹890.55 crore
and 03 water body rejuvenation projects worth ₹35.41 crore has been
taken in Darjeeling District. 01 water supply project worth ₹196.57 crore
in Kalimpong City under AMRUT 2.0. As reported by the State on portal,
the details of progress of water supply and water rejuvenation projects in
Darjeeling district and Kalimpong city, are given in Annexure.
