Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the current status of implementation of the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for
Automobile and Auto Components;
(b) the investment, production, employment generated and localisation achieved under the Scheme
as of May 2026, State/UT-wise specifically in the State of Rajasthan;
(c) whether the Scheme has contributed to localisation of advanced automotive technologies and
components;
(d) the progress achieved under the Scheme, sector-wise;
(e) the special incentives provided by the Government through this scheme to promote the
development of the automobile sector and ancillary industries and to attract investment in the State
of Madhya Pradesh; and
(f) whether the Government is taking any special initiatives for establishment of auto component
manufacturing units, electric vehicle ancillary industries and creation of technical employment
opportunities for local youth in Chhindwara district considering its proximity and better connectivity
with Nagpur (an automobile hub)?

(a) to (d): Government approved the PLI Scheme for Automobile and Auto Component
Industry in India (PLI-Auto) with a budgetary outlay of Rs.25,938 crore for enhancing India’s
manufacturing capabilities for Advanced Automotive Products (AAT) on 23/09/2021. The status of
implementation of PLI-Auto scheme across all states (incl Rajasthan) is as below:-

To boost domestic manufacturing and localisation of AAT products, scheme mandates
minimum Domestic Value Addition (DVA) of 50% for availing incentives under the scheme and as
on 16.07.2026, 18 applicants have received DVA certificates for 154 products/variants.-2-
(e) & (f): PLI-Auto scheme is implemented on pan India basis (including state of Madhya
Pradesh) and approved applicants are free to set up units anywhere in the country. No special
incentives are provided under the scheme to any state.
