GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS DEPARTMENT OF FERTILIZERS LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 5671 TO BE ANSWERED ON: 27.03.2026 PM-Kisan Samriddhi Kendras 5671. Shri M Mallesh Babu: Will the Minister of CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS be pleased to state: (a) the total number of retail fertilizer shops successfully converted into PM-Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs) in the Kolar Lok Sabha Constituency in Karnataka as on February, 2026; (b) whether the said operational Kendras are equipped with real-time/"on-the-spot" soil health testing facilities and a farmer to receive a soil health recommendation after sample submission, if so, the details thereof; (c) the steps being taken by the Government to ensure that the said centres actively discourage the over-utilization of chemical fertilizers along with the acute water stress and the risk of groundwater nitrate contamination in the said district; (d) whether the Government has integrated Nano Urea & Nano DAP demonstration units at all PMKSKs to promote nutrient use efficiency among small and marginal farmers in the said district; and (e) the monitoring mechanism put in place to ascertain that the "One-Stop Shops" are providing the mandated technical consultancy and weather forecasting services or if they continue to function primarily as retail outlets? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF CHEMICALS AND FERTILIZERS (SMT. ANUPRIYA PATEL) (a) In Kolar Lok Sabha Constituency, as on February 2026, out of 457 retail fertilizer shops, 178 retailer fertilizer shops have been converted into PM-Kisan Samriddhi Kendras (PMKSKs). (b) The retailer shops owned by M/s Coromandel International Limited and a very few retailer shops converted to PMKSKs by M/s Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers are equipped with soil testing facilities and thereby the farmers are receiving soil health recommendations.-2- (c) Under “PM-PRANAM Kisan Sangosti”, the fertilizer manufacturing companies in coordination with State Agriculture department, other line departments and fertilizer dealers are conducting meetings every month at Village, Gram Panchayat level. The ill effects of excess use of chemicals fertilizers especially nitrogenous fertilizers (Urea) causing ground water contamination and the use of alternative fertilizers are being imparted to the farmers. (d) Nano fertilizers, including Nano Urea and Nano DAP, are made available at PMKSKs by the concerned Fertilizer companies. The Fertilizer Companies also conduct Nano Urea and Nano DAP field demonstrations. (e) Few of the retailer shops owned by M/s Coromandel International Limited and few retailer shops converted to PMKSKs by M/s Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers, M/s Paradeep Phosphates Limited, M/s Coromandel International Limited, M/s Ferilizers & Chemicals Travancore Ltd, M/s Greenstar Fertilizers Limited, M/s Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation are providing technical consultancy services at PMKSK’s. Weather forecasting services are not under the scope of PMKSKs. *******
