Will the Minister of TEXTILES वस्त्र मंत्री
be pleased to state :
(a) whether PM-MITRA Textile Parks announced in the Union Budget 2026–27 have been made
operational or implementation has commenced;
(b) if so, the details thereof including land identification, fund release, investment inflow and
employment generated, State-wise; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): In the Union Budget 2026-27, an announcement was made by Hon’ble Finance Minister
regarding setting up of Mega Textile Parks in challenge mode alongwith a focus on bringing value
addition to technical textiles.
In order to ensure early sanction and quick implementation of the Scheme, the Ministry has
initiated a process of stakeholder consultation with State Governments and other stakeholders. It has also
constituted a Joint Working Group to discuss eligibility criteria, selection process and evaluation
parameters.
