GANAPATHY RAJKUMAR P: THIRU THANGA TAMILSELVAN: Will the Minister of TEXTILES वस्त्र मंत्री be pleased to state : (a) whether the Government has taken a decision for setting up of PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park in Virudhnagar, Coimbatore/Tirupur in Tamil Nadu; (b) if so, the details thereof; (c) the total amount allotted, released to PM MITRA Park in Virudhnagar, Coimbatore/Tiruppur as on date; (d) the time by which the park commences its commercial operations/functions; (e) whether the Government has any plan to set up of an another PM MITRA Park in Virudhnagar, Coimbatore/Tirupur in Tamil Nadu; and (f) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor? उत्तर ANSWER वस्त्र राज् य मंत्री (श्री पबित्र मार्घरे रटा) THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR TEXTILES (SHRI PABITRA MARGHERITA) (a) to (d): With a view to attract investment, boost employment generation and position itself strongly in the global market, the Government has approved setting up of 7 (Seven) PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Greenfield/Brownfield sites with world class infrastructure including plug and play facility with an outlay of Rs. 4,445 Cr for a period of 2021-22 to 2027-28. Ministry received 18 proposals from 13 states for setting up Mega Textile Parks and has finalised 7 sites including one in Tamil Nadu (Virudhnagar) for setting up of PM MITRA Park. Other selected sites are Telangana (Warangal), Gujarat (Navsari), Karnataka (Kalaburagi), Madhya Pradesh (Dhar), Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow) and Maharashtra (Amravati). For development of PM MITRA Parks, there is a provision of Development Capital Support (DCS) @30% of the project cost with a maximum support of ₹ 500 Cr and ₹200 Crore per park for Greenfield and Brownfield PM MITRA Parks respectively from the Government of India. So far, DCS of Rs. 50 Cr. has been released to PM MITRA Park Tamil Nadu. (e) & (f): There is no proposal currently under consideration for establishing any more Parks under PM MITRA Scheme. ****
