SHRI KESINENI SIVANATH SHRI BASTIPATI NAGARAJU SHRI DAGGUMALLA PRASADA RAO SHRI B K PARTHASARATHI Will the Minister of NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY be pleased to state: (a) the number of applications received, installations completed and Central Financial Assistance (CFA) disbursed under Pradhan Mantri-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PM- SGMBY), State and district-wise in Andhra Pradesh; (b) the details of the number of rooftop solar installations vendor registered under the scheme, State-wise; (c) the details of the number of Rooftop solar installations where net meters and smart meters have been installed, State and district-wise in Andhra Pradesh; (d) the type of metering agreements approved in Andhra Pradesh, district-wise; (e) the details of the number of functional Rooftop solar installations along with the amount of electricity generated, State and district-wise in Andhra Pradesh; (f) the number of districts under the scheme where challenge mode has been announced; and (g) the details of villages that have been chosen as model solar villages under the scheme in Andhra Pradesh, district-wise? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR NEW & RENEWABLE ENERGY AND POWER (SHRI SHRIPAD YESSO NAIK) (a) to (c): Under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG: MBY), since its launch in February 2024, a total of 66,48,000 applications have been received on the National Portal and 26,20,970 rooftop solar (RTS) systems have been installed, benefitting 32,40,068 households across the country, and an amount of Rs 17,967.46 crore has been disbursed as Central Financial Assistance (CFA) to the beneficiaries under the scheme, as on 20.03.2026. Further, 26,483 distinct RTS vendors have been registered under the scheme. The state/UT wise details are given at Annexure I. In the state of Andhra Pradesh, a total of 14,72,814 applications have been received and 1,14,313 RTS systems have been installed, benefitting 1,17,453 households, and an amount of Rs 734.97 crore has been disbursed as CFA to the beneficiaries under the scheme, as on 20.03.2026. The district wise details are given at Annexure II.The RTS installations for residential sector under the PMSG: MBY are generally through net- metering arrangements by installation of net-meters. Some of the states/UTs have also initiated installation of smart meters, which can also be configured for the net-metering purpose. (d) The RTS installations for residential sector under the PMSG: MBY in the state of Andhra Pradesh are mainly covered under net-metering arrangement. However, other metering arrangements such as group net-metering, virtual net-metering, gross metering and net billing are also permissible as per provisions of the regulations issued by the state electricity regulator. (e) The state/UT-wise details of RTS installations completed under the PMSG: MBY are given at Annexure I and district-wise details of RTS installations completed in the state of Andhra Pradesh are given at Annexure II. The amount of electricity generated by an RTS plant depends upon various factors including solar irradiance of the location, technology of solar modules, tilt angle, regular maintenance, etc. An RTS plant installed and maintained as per specified standards, on average basis, will daily generate four units of electricity per kWp capacity of the plant. (f) & (g) Under the Model Solar Village (MSV) component of PMSG: MBY, challenge mode has been announced in 21 districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh and MSVs have been declared in 12 districts.
