SHRI SANJAY HARIBHAU JADHAV Will the Minister of NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY be pleased to state: (a) the number of households registered under the Pradhan Mantri-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PM- SGMBY) in the country since its inception, State-wise and district-wise for Maharashtra particularly in Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency; (b) the number of households where solar panels have been installed under PM-SGMBY, State-wise and district-wise for Maharashtra particularly in Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency; (c) the targeted number of households likely to be registered under this yojana, State-wise and district- wise for Maharashtra particularly in Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency; (d) whether pucca houses are required to install solar panels under this yojana; (e) if so, the provisions made for installing solar panels on households having no kuccha houses; and (f) the quantum of electricity generated under this yojana along with the time-limit prescribed to complete this yojana particularly in Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR NEW & RENEWABLE ENERGY AND POWER (SHRI SHRIPAD YESSO NAIK) (a) to (f) The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has been implementing the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG: MBY) since February 2024, aiming to install rooftop solar (RTS) systems in one crore residential households across the country by FY 2026–27 with total financial outlay of Rs. 75021 Cr. The PMSG: MBY is a demand-driven scheme wherein all residential consumers in the country, including those in the Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency of Maharashtra, having house with roof feasible for installation of RTS and having a grid-connected electricity connection with the local DISCOM, can avail the benefits of the scheme, for installation of RTS systems by applying on the National Portal (www.pmsuryaghar.gov.in) of the scheme. There is no state-wise allocation made under the scheme Under the scheme, since its launch in February 2024, a total of 39,38,805 RTS systems have been installed benefitting 47,64,657 households across the country, as on 20.07.2026. The state/UT wise details are given at Annexure I. Similarly, in the state of Maharashtra, a total of 6,79,303 RTS systems have been installed benefitting 10,60,703 households under the scheme.
