Will the Minister of NEW AND RENEWABLE ENERGY be pleased to state:
(a) the details of application received and installation done since the inception of the scheme,
State/UT-wise and year-wise; and
(b) the details of funds allocated and utilised for PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana since
inception, Year-wise?

(a) The PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG: MBY), launched in February 2024, is a
demand driven scheme wherein all residential consumers in the country having grid connected
electricity connection of the local DISCOM can avail the benefits of the scheme, for installation
of Rooftop Solar systems, by applying on the National Portal of the scheme.
Under the scheme, a total of 63,26,125 applications have been received on the National Portal
and a total of 25,02,217 rooftop solar systems have been installed, as on 05.03.2026. The
State/UT-wise and year-wise details are given at Annexure.
(b) Under the PMSG: MBY, the year-wise details of funds allocated and utilised are as follows:
