PM-VISHWAKARMA SCHEME IN PUNJAB
1993. SHRI MALVINDER SINGH KANG:
Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the details of beneficiaries in Punjab under the PM-Vishwakarma Scheme, district-wise;
(b) the number of artisans registered, trained and loans sanctioned till date;
(c) whether any loan applications from Punjab are under consideration and if so, the details
thereof; and
(d) the steps taken to improve awareness and implementation of the Scheme in Punjab?

(a): PM Vishwakarma scheme was launched on 17.09.2023 to provide end-to-end holistic
support to artisans and craftspeople of 18 traditional trades who work with their hands and tool.
District-wise details of beneficiaries in Punjab under the PM Vishwakarma scheme are at
Annexure-I.
(b) and (c): The number of artisans registered, trained and loans sanctioned till date, in the
state of Punjab are follows:

(d): Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has undertaken a series of
initiatives to spread awareness about PM Vishwakarma scheme. Till 2025-26, over 38 awareness
programmes, 02 trade fairs and 01 State-level exhibition have been organized in the state of
Punjab.
The Ministry has also undertaken extensive publicity through social media campaigns,
radio jingles on All India Radio, newspaper advertisements, hoardings, digital displays and audio
announcements in local languages at various public locations. To further enhance accessibility
and ensure wider outreach, PM Vishwakarma Guidelines and Handbook for various trades have
been translated in 12 regional languages.
