Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the percentage of traditional artisans who have applied under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme and
those who have been enrolled successfully thereunder, State-wise;
(b) the number of applicants who have applied, completed all the three stages of verification,
enrolled and are currently availing benefits under the scheme including Scheduled Castes (SCs) and
Scheduled Tribes (STs) till June, 2025, State-wise and district-wise in Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya
Pradesh and Rajasthan;
(c) the challenges being faced in the verification process or enrolment of artisans in rural and tribal
districts of Chhattisgarh and the steps being taken to address them;
(d) the total number of SC/ST candidates trained, and verifications carried out under the said
scheme till June, 2025, State-wise; and
(e) whether any initiatives have been taken to spread awareness among SC/ST entrepreneurs in this
regard and if so, the details thereof?

STARRED QUESTION No. 67 FOR ANSWER ON 24.07.2025
(a): As on 30th June 2025, about 2.71 crore traditional artisans have applied under PM Vishwakarma.
As against the target of 30 lakh registrations, 29.94 Lakh i.e. 99.80 % traditional artisans have been
registered successfully as PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries. The State/UT-wise percentage of traditional
artisans who have applied (enrolled) under PM Vishwakarma and those who have successfully
registered is at Annexure I.
(b): Number of applicants who have applied, completed all the three stages of verification,
registered, and are currently availing benefits under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme including Scheduled
Castes (SCs) and Scheduled Tribes (STs) upto June, 2025, is provided State/UT-wise, and district-wise
for Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan at Annexure II.
(c): No significant challenges have been reported in the enrolment, verification and registration of
artisans in rural and tribal districts of Chhattisgarh. Performance of Chhattisgarh under PM
Vishwakarma is considered satisfactory; in terms of total registrations, Chhattisgarh ranks 11th among
the 36 States/Union Territories.
(d): State/UT-wise details of total number of SC/ST candidates registered after completion of
verification and imparted basic skill training under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, up to 30th June 2025,
are at Annexure III.
(e): Yes, Sir. Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises has undertaken a series of initiatives
to spread awareness about PM Vishwakarma scheme, especially among SC/ST beneficiaries. Upto 30th
June 2025, more than 760 awareness programmes/camps, over 50 workshops, 50 trade fairs, 34 State-
level exhibitions, and more than 50 flash mobs have been organized across the country. The Ministry
has also undertaken extensive publicity through social media campaigns, radio jingles on All India
Radio, newspaper advertisements, hoardings, digital displays, and audio announcements in local
languages at various public locations. To further enhance accessibility and ensure wider outreach, PM
Vishwakarma Guidelines were translated into 12 regional languages and placed in public domain. In
addition, State Governments/ UT Administrations were requested to disseminate awareness and
facilitate registration under the Scheme.
