SHRI BRIJENDRA SINGH OLA: Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the number of houses sanctioned, completed, incomplete and pending during the last three years and the current year under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) in Rajasthan, Lok Sabha Constituency-wise including Jhunjhunu Lok Sabha Constituency; (b) the status of the houses sanctioned, constructed and pending during the said period in Jhunjhunu Lok Sabha Constituency under the said yojana, year-wise; and (c) whether the prescribed timelines have been violated under the said yojana and beneficiaries have lodged their complaints relating to payments, quality and delays in construction and if so, the number of such complaints registered and the status of their redressal? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a) to (c): Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) has been implementing Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Urban (PMAY-U) since 25.06.2015 with an aim to provide all weather pucca houses with basic civic amenities to eligible urban beneficiaries across the country including Rajasthan. Based on the learnings from the experiences of implementation of PMAY- U, MoHUA has revamped the scheme and launched PMAY-U 2.0 ‘Housing for All’ Mission with effect from 01.09.2024 for implementation in urban ...2/--2- areas across the country to support 1 crore additional eligible beneficiaries in next five years. PMAY-U 2.0 is implemented through four verticals i.e., Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC), Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), Affordable Rental Housing (ARH) and Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS). Based on the project proposal submitted by States/Union Territories (UTs), a total of 122.28 lakh houses for the beneficiaries belonging to Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Lower Income Group (LIG) and Middle Income Group (MIG) have been sanctioned under PMAY-U and PMAY-U 2.0 by the Ministry, so far. Out of which, 114.84 lakh houses have been grounded and 97.02 lakh are completed/delivered to the beneficiaries across the country as on 22.01.2026. The Constituency- wise and year-wise details of houses sanctioned and completed/delivered to the beneficiaries during each of the last three years and the current year under PMAY-U & PMAY-U 2.0 in the State of Rajasthan are at Annexure-I. Based on the project proposal submitted by State of Rajasthan, a total of 3.48 lakh houses have been sanctioned by the Ministry, so far under PMAY-U & PMAY-U 2.0, of which 3.12 lakh has been completed and delivered to the beneficiaries. A total of 2,743 houses have been sanctioned for Jhunjhunu Lok Sabha Constituency under the scheme, out of which 1,757 are completed and delivered to the beneficiaries. The year-wise details of houses sanctioned and completed in Jhunjhunu Lok Sabha Constituency are at Annexure-II. The Ministry conducts regular review with the States/UTs on progress of the scheme including timely submission of compliances by States/UTs for subsequent release of Central Assistance and its utilization for completion of the sanctioned houses within the stipulated timeline. There has been no delay in release of funds to the States/UTs and no complaint regarding quality, payments or delays in construction have been received from State of Rajasthan. Moreover, any complaint regarding the implementation of the scheme, if any, are addressed through suitable grievance redressal system available at both State/UT and City level as per existing rules and regulations and also actions are taken as per prevalent law. Moreover, a Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System ...3/--3- (CPGRAMS) is also available to the citizens to lodge their grievances to the public authorities on any subject related to service delivery including PMAY-U for redressal.
