(a) whether the Government is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi
Pariyojana (PMBJP) to provide affordable generic medicines, especially in the State of
Madhya Pradesh, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government has established Jan Aushadhi Kendras in the State of Madhya
Pradesh including Katni and Panna districts and Khajuraho Lok Sabha Constituency;
(c) if so, the details thereof along with the measures taken to ensure the success of the scheme;
and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor along with the steps being taken to address the issue?

(a): Government is implementing PMBJP to make quality generic medicines available at
affordable prices across the country, including in the State of Madhya Pradesh. Under the
scheme, dedicated outlets known as Jan Aushadhi Kendras (JAKs) are opened to provide
medicines at prices that are about 50% to 80% cheaper than those of leading branded
medicines in the market.
(b) to (d): A total of 592 JAKs have been opened till 30.6.2025 in the State of Madhya
Pradesh. Khajuraho Lok Sabha Constituency is comprised of parts of Katni, Panna and
Chhatarpur districts. There are nine JAKs in Katni district, four in Panna district and 25 in
Chhatarpur district. District-wise details of JAKs opened in the State of Madhya Pradesh are
