(a) the number of self-employment ventures sanctioned, set up, and disbursed under the Prime
Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in Andhra Pradesh during each of the last
five years, district-wise;
(b) the total margin money subsidy allocated, released and utilised in Andhra Pradesh under the
scheme during the last five years, year-wise;
(c) the number of rural and urban beneficiaries covered under the scheme in the State, gender
and social category-wise;
(d) the steps taken to expand the scheme's reach in aspirational districts and coastal areas of the
State;
(e) whether there have been issues reported with the PMEGP application portal and if so, the
details thereof; and
(f) if not, the number of applications that have been received in the preceding six months,

(a): District-wise number of micro enterprises disbursed and set up under Prime Minister’s
Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in Andhra Pradesh during the last five years i.e.
from FY 2020-21 to FY 2024-25 is given at Annexure I.
(b): Margin Money subsidy released/utilized under PMEGP Scheme in Andhra Pradesh during
the last five years is given below:

(d): The steps taken by the Government under PMEGP to expand its reach across the country
including aspirational districts and coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh include:
i. Enhancement of maximum project cost from Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 50 lakh for manufacturing
sector and from Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh for service sector.
ii. Inclusion of applicants from Aspirational districts and transgenders under Special Category
eligible for higher subsidy.
iii. Industries related to animal husbandry like dairy, poultry, aquaculture, insects (bees,
sericulture, etc.) have been allowed under the scheme.
iv. Awareness programmes in all the States/UTs including backward and under-performing
areas, Aspirational districts, North Eastern Region, etc. Details of awareness camps and
people’s education programme organized in aspirational districts and coastal areas of
Andhra Pradesh are given at Annexure III.
v. Conduct of two-days free online Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) for
prospective entrepreneurs.
vi. Acceptance of PMEGP applications in physical form from prospective beneficiaries in 11
regional languages since January 2024.
(e): No issues have been reported with the PMEGP application portal.The portal is operational
and accepting fresh applications.
(f): State/UT-wise number of applications received under PMEGP from 01.01.2025 to
18.07.2025 is given at Annexure IV.
