SHRI SANJAY HARIBHAU JADHAV: Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state: (a) the number of projects sanctioned under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), during the last five years particularly in the Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency for Maharashtra; (b) the details of the margin money subsidy disbursed to beneficiaries, year-wise and State-wise; (c) the details of employment generated through the said scheme across the country, including Maharashtra; and (d) the number and details of applications pending or rejected, along with the reasons therefor, particularly in respect of the Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency in Maharashtra? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES (SUSHRI SHOBHA KARANDLAJE) (a): 348 number of projects have been sanctioned by financing banks under Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) in Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency of Maharashtra during the last five years i.e. FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26. (b): Year-wise and State-wise details on Margin Money (MM) subsidy disbursed during the last five years is given at Annexure I. (c): Around 36.33 lakh estimated employment opportunities have been generated under PMEGP during the last five years across the country, including 1.37 lakh in the State of Maharashtra. (d): PMEGP was approved for continuation for the 15th Finance Commission Cycle i.e. upto 31st March 2026. Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) Meeting has been conducted for continuation of the scheme beyond 31st March 2026. Further release of MM Subsidy for pending sanctioned applications throughout the country including Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency would be contingent upon the approval for the continuation of the scheme. 1,133 number of projects have been rejected by financing banks in Parbhani Lok Sabha Constituency under PMEGP during the last five years due to non-fulfilment of prescribed eligibility conditions, submission of incomplete or incorrect documents, deficiencies in the Detailed Project Reports, non-viability of projects, activity falling under the negative list, mismatch in personal, social category or location related particulars and non-submission of the required certificates. *******ANNEXURE-I ANNEXURE-I: REFERRED TO IN REPLY TO PART (b) OF THE LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO. 3188 FOR ANSWER ON 06.08.2026.
