Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has implemented the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation
Programme (PMEGP) in the State of Tamil Nadu to provide financial assistance for setting up new
micro-enterprises in the non-farm sector, if so, the details thereof;
(b) the total number of beneficiaries and micro-enterprises established under the above
Programme in the State of Tamil Nadu during the last three years along with the total financial
assistance and margin money subsidy provided, district-wise;
(c) the number of individuals and enterprises in Dharmapuri district that have benefited
fromthe above Programme along with the total subsidy and loan amount disbursed; and
(d) whether the Government has conducted any awareness and facilitation programmes in
Dharmapuri district to encourage eligible individuals, particularly Scheduled Castes, Scheduled
Tribes, women and other disadvantaged groups, to apply under the above Programme?

(a): Ministry of MSME, through the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), is
implementing the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) across the
country including Tamil Nadu for assisting prospective entrepreneurs in setting up new micro
enterprises in the non-farm sector and generating employment opportunities primarily in rural
areas.
The number of micro-enterprises assisted, Margin Money subsidy disbursed and estimated
employment generated under PMEGP in the State of Tamil Nadu for the last three years i.e from
FY 2022-23 to FY 2024-25 is as below:
