(b) the number of villages which have been facilitated with the
said scheme in Uttar Pradesh so far, district-wise;
(c) the details of specific road development works sanctioned and
completed under PMGSY in Uttar Pradesh during the said
period, district-wise; and
(d) the details of steps taken by the Government to increase road
connectivity in the rural areas in Uttar Pradesh under PMGSY,

(d): To enhance road connectivity in the rural areas in Uttar
Pradesh, a total of 21,125 road works measuring 77,425 km and 18
bridges have been sanctioned under all interventions/verticals of
PMGSY till 16.07.2025.
A new scheme namely PMGSY-IV has been launched on 11th
September, 2024 by the Central Government to provide connectivity
to habitations which have become eligible due to population
increase, The scheme will focus on providing all-weather
connectivity to unconnected habitations of 500+ population in plain
areas and 250 + population in NE and Hill States/UTs, special
category areas (Tribal Schedule-V, Aspirational Districts/Blocks,
Desert Areas) and 100+ in Left Wing Extremism (LWE) affected
districts as per Census 2011. The scheme is being implemented
from 2024-25 to 2028-29, with a total outlay of Rs. 70,125 crore,
targeting connectivity to 25,000 unconnected habitations. The
Ministry is working in close coordination with the States, including
Uttar Pradesh, to facilitate the submission of the proposals.
