SHRI DAGGUMALLA PRASADA RAO: SHRI BASTIPATI NAGARAJU: Will the Minister of LAW AND JUSTICE be pleased to state: (a) the details regarding the total number of POCSO cases registered in the country during the last five years, year-wise and State-wise including Andhra Pradesh; (b) the details regarding the total number of POCSO cases disposed of in the last five years, classified year-wise and State-wise including Andhra Pradesh; (c) the details regarding the total number of Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs) sanctioned in the country under the FTSC Scheme, and the number of courts currently functional, classified State-wise; (d) the details regarding the total amount of funds sanctioned, released and utilised under the FTSC Scheme since inception, State-wise; and (e) the details regarding the FTSCs established in Andhra Pradesh, including the total amount of funds released to each FTSC in the last five years and the total number of POCSO cases disposed off by each court, classified year-wise and court-wise? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE (INDEPENDENT CHARGE) OF THE MINISTRY OF LAW AND JUSTICE; AND MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS (SHRI ARJUN RAM MEGHWAL) (a) & (b): As per the information made available by the High Courts, as of 31.01.2026, 774 FTSCs, including 398 exclusive POCSO (e-POCSO) Courts were functional in 29 States/UTs. The year-wise cases registered and disposed by the Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs) including exclusive POCSO courts under the FTSCs Scheme, are as under: Year No. of cases registered No. of cases disposed 2023 81,471 76,319 2024 88,902 85,595 2025 1,43,936 66,500 2026 (as on 31.01.2026) 11,790 5,725 1The State/UT wise total number of POCSO cases registered and disposed by the exclusive POCSO courts under the FTSCs Scheme, since the inception of the Scheme, are given at Annexure-I. The number of POCSO cases registered and disposed of by exclusive POCSO Courts in the State of Andhra Pradesh from the year 2023 onwards, are as under: Year No. of POCSO cases No. of POCSO cases registered disposed 2023 2,263 2,360 2024 1,419 2,138 2025 2,159 2,701 2026 (as on 31.01.2026) 98 215 (c): The details regarding the total number of Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs) sanctioned in the country under the FTSC Scheme, and the number of courts currently functional as on 31.01.2026, are provided at Annexure -II. (d): The funds under the FTSC Scheme are released on the pattern of Centrally Sponsored Scheme (Central share: State share :: 60:40, 90:10) to cover the salaries of one Judicial Officer along with 7 support Staff per FTSC and a Flexi Grant for meeting the day-to-day expenses. The funds are reimbursed to the States/UTs after receipt of the expenditure statements from them. During the current financial year, the allocated budget of ₹ 200.00 crores have been fully utilized by the States/UTs. The details regarding the total amount of central share of funds released since the inception of the Scheme, are given at Annexure -III. (e): In the State of Andhra Pradesh, 16 exclusive POCSO Courts are functional under the Scheme. An amount of ₹1.80 crore has been released to Andhra Pradesh since the inception of the Scheme, as the State has not submitted expenditure statements required as per the Scheme Guidelines. Since the Scheme operates on a reimbursement basis, funds are released only after receipt of the expenditure statements.
