Ministry of Textiles has been implementing several schemes for the development, modernization and sustainability of powerloom units across the country, including those in Tamil Nadu. A few major interventions include:- (a) Amended Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (ATUFS). (b) PowerTex India Scheme. (c) Comprehensive Powerloom Cluster Development Scheme (CPCDS). (d) Textile Cluster Development Scheme (TCDS). (e) Training, Design & Development Support through ITAD Centres (Erstwhile Powerloom Services Centres) (f) Converged Group Insurance Scheme for Powerloom Weavers & Workers.
