Sivadasan: Will the Minister of ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE be pleased to state: (a) whether Government is aware that the Wildlife Protection (Kerala Amendment) Bill, 2025 passed by the Kerala Legislative Assembly seeks to empower the Chief Wildlife Warden to take immediate action when wild animals enter public places or residential areas and pose a danger to lives and livelihoods of the people; (b) whether the Central Government proposes to approve and incorporate similar provisions in the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972 for nationwide implementation; and (c) if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT, FOREST AND CLIMATE CHANGE (SHRI KIRTI VARDHAN SINGH) (a) As per the information available with the Ministry, the Kerala Legislative Assembly has passed Wildlife Protection (Kerala Amendment) Bill, 2025. (b) and (c) Under Section 11 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972, the Chief Wild Life Warden of the States/ Union Territories are already empowered for taking actions for management of wildlife that has become dangerous to human life or property. *****
