PROBLEMS OF RAILWAY PASSENGERS IN BAGHPAT DISTRICT

Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government is aware that railway passengers in
Baghpat district are facing several serious problems such as non-
stoppage of major trains at local stations, lack of bridge construction
and lesser number of coaches in trains, if so, the details thereof;
(b) whether the Government proposes to ensure stoppage of train
No.14305/14306 (Haridwar- Delhi Express) at Baraut station and
construct FOB/ROB thereon, if so, the details thereof ;
(c) whether the Government proposes to ensure the stoppage of train
No.19609/19610 (Udaipur-Rishikesh Express) at Tatiri (Baghpat),
Baraut and Khekra stations, if so, the details thereof;
(d) whether the Government proposes to run train No. 04023 (Delhi-
Baghpat Kasimpur Kheri) on permanent basis, if so, the details
thereof; and
(e) whether the Government proposes to take any concrete action to
increase the number of coaches in trains passing through Baghpat
district and if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (e) As the Railway network straddles across district boundaries,
trains are introduced across such boundaries as per network
requirement. Baghpat district is majorly served by Bagpat Road,
Baraut, Modinagar stations which are respectively being served by 12
pairs, 13 pairs and 13 pairs of train services. These services are
providing direct connectivity for cities like Delhi, Haridwar,
Saharanpur etc.14305/06 Delhi-Haridwar Express and 19609/10 Udaipur City-Yog
Nagari Rishikesh Express have scheduled stoppage at Baraut from
where passengers of nearby stations may also avail these services.
04023/24 Delhi-Qasimpur Kheri MEMU is being operated as
64092/64093 Qasimpur Kheri-Delhi MEMU.
Besides, provision of stoppages and augmentation of services are
on-going processes on Indian Railways subject to traffic justification,
operational feasibility, availability of resources etc.
Sanctioning and execution of works of Road Over Bridges/ Road
Under Bridges (ROBs/RUBs) in lieu of Level Crossings(LCs) is a
continuous and on-going process on Indian Railways. Such works are
prioritized and taken up on the basis of its impact on safety and
mobility in train operations and impact on road users.
Nos. of ROBs/ RUBs constructed on Indian Railways during the
period 2004-14 vis a vis 2014-25 (June’25) is as under:
