PROGRAMMES UNDER UDYAM SAKHI INITIATIVE

Will the minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the current status of the programmes being implemented across the country to connect women
with entrepreneurship under the 'Udyam Sakhi' initiative;
(b) whether the Government has updated data regarding the number of women registered,
beneficiaries who have started self-employment and the training sessions conducted under the 'Udyam
Sakhi' initiative in Haryana, particularly in Sonipat Lok Sabha Constituency;
(c) whether it is a fact that the said initiative has not achieved the expected outcomes in rural areas
due to lack of digital awareness, financial literacy and market linkages and if so, the details thereof
along with the steps being taken by the Government to strengthen the initiative; and
(d) whether the Government proposes to establish dedicated training centres, implement credit-
linked schemes or provide local-level handholding support to promote women entrepreneurship in
Sonipat and if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): Udyam Sakhi portal was launched in 2018 to provide information regarding financial
schemes, policies and programmes of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs) to
existing and prospective women entrepreneurs in the MSME sector.Since the inception of the portal,
4,535 women entrepreneurs have registered and benefited in the country.
Ministry of MSME has made sustained efforts towards inclusiveness and for promoting digital
registration of women entrepreneurs, through its field offices and in coordination with State
Governments and MSME associations. As a result of these efforts, enterprises owned by women
constitute about 39% of the enterprises registered on Udyam/Udyam Assist portals. The number of
women-owned MSMEs who have registered on Udyam Registration Portal, including Informal Micro
Enterprises registered on Udyam Assist Platform in the State of Haryana are 5,11,608, including
Sonipat Lok Sabha Constituency.: 2 :
The Ministry of MSME launched ‘Yashasvini Campaign’ on 27.06.2024. The objective of the
Campaign is to empower women entrepreneurs across India through various schemes on
formalization, access to credit capacity building and mentorship through awareness generation about
these schemes.
As per Public Procurement Policy for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) Order, 2012
(amended in 2018), out of the mandatory annual procurement of 25% by Central
Ministries/Departments/Undertaking, at least 3% procurement should be from women entrepreneurs.
As per MSME Sambandh Portal, in the F.Y. 2024-25, procurement of Rs 6,105.71 Crore from MSEs
owned by women entrepreneurs.
Under Credit Guarantee Scheme (CGS) for Micro and Small Enterprises, the details of

PM Vishwakarma Scheme was launched on 17.09.2023 to provide end-to-end support to
artisans and craftspeople of 18 trades who work with their hands and tools. Since the inception of
the Scheme on 17.09.2023 and up to 09.12.2025, a total of 30 lakh artisans and craftspeople have
been successfully registered across the country, including 10.8 lakh successfully registered women
beneficiaries.
