PROGRESS AND FUND ALLOCATION UNDER THE PM VISHWAKARMA
SCHEME IN RAIGAD, MAHARASHTRA
278. SHRI DHAIRYASHIL MOHAN PATIL:
Will the Minister of MICRO, SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES be pleased to state:
(a) the total number of artisans registered under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, the category and
trade-wise details of Ganesh idol makers, boat builders, doll and toy makers, fishing net makers, and
coir weavers;
(b) the number of these artisans who have completed basic and advanced skill upgradation training;
(c) the number of beneficiaries in these categories nominated for loan assistance since the inception
of the scheme, year-wise amount sanctioned and disbursed thereof; and
(d) the details of the marketing support provided to these artisans through branding, e- commerce
listings, and trade fairs?

(a): PM Vishwakarma Scheme was launched on 17.09.2023 to provide end-to-end holistic support to
artisans and craftspeople of 18 trades who work with their hands and tools. The total number of artisans
registered under the PM Vishwakarma scheme, category and trade-wise in Sculptor (Moortikar, Stone
Carver) Stone Breaker, Boat Maker, Doll & Toy Maker (Traditional), Fishing Net Maker,
Basket/Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver in Raigad district, Maharashtra is at Annexure-I.
(b): As of 28.01.2026, 410 beneficiaries have completed basic skill training in Sculptor (Moortikar,
Stone Carver) Stone Breaker, Boat Maker, Doll & Toy Maker (Traditional), Fishing Net Maker,
Basket/Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver in Raigad district, Maharashtra.
(c): As of 28.01.2026, loans have been sanctioned to 8 beneficiaries amounting to Rs. 7.74 lakh
belonging to Sculptor (Moortikar, Stone Carver) Stone Breaker, Boat Maker, Doll & Toy Maker
(Traditional), Fishing Net Maker, Basket/Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver in Raigad district,
Maharashtra under PM Vishwakarma.
(d): Under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, beneficiaries are being provided support for marketing,
branding, packaging etc. PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries are facilitated to display and sell their
handicrafts products through various trade fairs, state level exhibitions etc. In Maharashtra, two state-
level fairs/exhibitions and 29 one-day awareness programmes, including one district-level awareness
programme at Khopoli, Raigad, have been conducted. In addition, online marketing support is being
extended to PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries through various e-commerce platforms to promote the sale
of their products in both domestic and international markets.
