MITRA) Park being developed in Lucknow and Hardoi;
(b) the projected employment potential and the progress of skill development initiatives taken as part of
the PM MITRA project;
(c) the details of 95 industrial units that have signed MoUs under the project and the number of industrial
units allotted land so far;
(d) whether the Ministry has an expected timeline for completion of the park and a time by which the
operations are expected to start; and
(e) whether the Central Government proposes to extend any additional financial or technical assistance to
ensure timely operationalisation, if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d): With a view to attract investment, boost employment generation and position itself strongly
in the global market, the Government has approved setting up of 7 (Seven) PM Mega Integrated Textile
Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Parks in Greenfield/Brownfield sites with world class infrastructure
including plug and play facility with an outlay of Rs. 4,445 Cr for a period of 2021-22 to 2027-28.
Ministry received 18 proposals from 13 states for setting up Mega Textile Parks and has finalised 7 sites
including one in Uttar Pradesh (Lucknow) for setting up of PM MITRA Park. Other selected sites are
Tamil Nadu (Virudhnagar), Gujarat (Navsari), Karnataka (Kalaburagi), Madhya Pradesh (Dhar),
Telangana (Warangal) and Maharashtra (Amravati).
It is envisaged that each park when completed will lead to an investment of Rs. 10,000 Cr. and generate
about 1 lakh direct and 2 lakh indirect jobs. In addition provision for skilling through creation of
infrastructure and through convergence with ongoing schemes has been made for PM MITRA Parks.The details of investment received/grounded/MoUs signed under the PM MITRA Scheme so far are as
