GOVERNMENT OF INDIA MINISTRYOF PANCHAYATIRAJ LOK SABHA UNSTARREDQUESTION NO. 2946 ANSWEREDON- 10.03.2026 PROGRESSOFSVAMITVASCHEME †2946.SHRIBABU SINGH KUSHWAHA: SHRIDEVESHSHAKYA: Will the Minister of PANCHAYATIRAJ be pleased to state: (a) the current progress of the SVAMITVA Scheme number of villages where drone survey has been completed, property cards prepared and total number of cards distributed districts, district-wise includingJaunpur, EtahandKasganj; (b) the major challengessuch assurvey delays, localdisputes, technical errors or lackof legal recognitioninthe implementation of the Schemeinthese three districts; (c) the number of property cards linked to bank loans or other financial platforms in these districts andthe extent of economicbenefitaccruedtothe rural population therefrom; and (d) the specific steps being taken by the Government to address these challenges and the target set for completion of the Scheme, such as additional funds, awareness campaigns or dispute resolution mechanismsin allthe identifiedvillagesbyMarch 2026? ANSWER MINISTER OF PANCHAYATI RAJ (SHRIRAJIVRANJAN SINGH ALIAS LALAN SINGH) a) Under SVAMITVA Scheme, as on 5thMarch 2026, drone survey has been completed in 3.29 lakh villages out of 3.44 lakh notified villages, 3.10 crore property cards have been prepared for 1.87 lakh villages and 2.65 crore property cards have been distributed. District wise detailsat Annexure-I. As per information available with the Ministry, below is the Status of drone survey and property cards prepared and distributed under SVAMITVA Scheme in Jaunpur, Etah and Kasganj districts of Uttar Pradesh . Under the SVAMITVA Scheme, Record of Rights is provided to rural household owners. In Uttar Pradesh, the Record of Rights is provided as per provisions of Uttar Pradesh Gramin Abadi Abhilekh Adhiniyam 2025. c) No informationis availablewith the Ministry regardingnumberof propertycardslinked to bank loans or other financial platforms in these districts and the extent of economic benefit accruedtothe rural population inthese districts. d) Ministry of Panchayati Raj has continuously engaged with the States and Survey of India for regular monitoring of progress across districts. Funds have been released regularly to Survey of India for undertaking drone survey and maps preparation and to the States for undertaking IEC activities to increase awareness about SVAMITVA Scheme.
