ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR FOOD PROCESSING INDUSTRIES (SHRI RAVNEET SINGH) (a) The budget outlay of the scheme is Rs.10,900 crore and total 170 applications have been approved under various categories of the Production Linked Incentive scheme for Food Processing Industries (PLISFPI).(b) Total 48 projects have been approved under PLISFPI in the States of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. No project has been approved in the Phulpur Lok Sabha Constituency. The details of projects approved in these States are at Annexure. (c) The scheme has led to increase in food processing capacity of 35.00 lakh MT per annum in the Country. The food processing capacity added in the States of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan are as under: Increase in Food Processing capacity [in Lakh Metric Ton per Annum] Chhattisgarh 0.18 Maharashtra 4.34 Rajasthan 1.23 (d) The total number of 03,39,034, both Direct and Indirect employment, have been generated so far under the PLISFPI. State-wise data on employment and farmers benefitted is not maintained. (e) The incentives under the PLISFPI are admissible where the entire chain of manufacturing processes, including primary processing, of the food products applied for coverage under the scheme takes place in India. Total export of agricultural processed food products approved under PLISFPI has increased with a CAGR of 13.23% as on 2024-25 with reference to 2019-20. (f) Under the PLISFPI, total investment of Rs. 9032 crores made by the approved companies across the country.
