Shri Ravindra Shukla Alias Ravi Kishan: Shri Satish Kumar Gautam: Will the Minister of AYUSH be pleased to state: (a) the primary objectives of the AYURSWASTHYA Yojana in promoting community-based health interventions through traditional medicine in the country, State/UT-wise; (b) the details of the specialised healthcare services offered by the Centres of Excellence (CoE) established under the said scheme across the country; (c) the details of the Public Health Outreach programmes conducted under the scheme specifically targeting rural and tribal population, State/UT-wise; (d) the number of beneficiaries who have received specialised AYUSH treatment for chronic ailments through the clinical research component of the said scheme, State/UT-wise; and (e) the details of the criteria for selecting Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and private trusts for providing grants-in-aid under the AYURSWASTHYA Yojana? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE (IC) OF THE MINISTRY OF AYUSH (SHRI PRATAPRAO JADHAV) (a) to (e) A Statement is laid on the table of the House. 1THE STATEMENT REFERRED IN REPLY TO LOK SABHA STARRED QUESTION NO. 496 FOR 27TH MARCH 2026 (a) Ministry of Ayush is implementing a Central Sector Scheme namely Ayurswasthya Yojana since FY 2021-22 having 02 components viz. i) Ayush and Public Health and ii) Centre of Excellence (CoE). The scheme is being implemented across the Country and is not specific to any State/UT. The main aim of the Ayush and Public Health component is to roll out of authentic classical Ayush interventions with following objectives: - o To promote Ayush intervention for community health care. o To demonstrate advantages of Ayush health care in public health. o To support for implementing Sustainable Development Goal-2 (SDG2) and Sustainable Development Goal -3 (SDG 3) through integrating Ayush system. o Documentation of the efficacy of Ayush systems through Ayush interventions in various public health issues which can be taken up in larger scale for implementation in national health programmes. (b) Under Centre of Excellence (CoE) component of Ayurswasthya Yojana, healthcare services are being provided in diverse disease areas including Diabetes Mellitus, Fatty Liver, lifestyle disorders, cardiac disorders, joint disorders, and mental health conditions, utilizing Ayush interventions as per the specialty domains of the respective Centres of Excellence. The details of CoE projects supported under the Ayurswasthya Yojana are enclosed at Annexure I. (c) Under Ayush and Public Health component of Ayurswasthya Yojana, public health outreach programmes are being conducted by the grantee organisation/institute as per the approved project. The details of the projects supported under the Ayush and Public Health component of Ayurswasthya Yojana is placed at Annexure-II. (d) The Ayurswasthya Yojana is a central sector scheme which is being implemented across the country and is not specific to any State/UT. Further, under the CoE component of Ayurswasthya Yojana,14731 beneficiaries have received specialized Ayush treatment for chronic ailments through the clinical research projects. The details of the Grantee institutes/organisations conducting clinical researches under CoE component are placed at Annexure-III. (e) Under the scheme, Non-Governmental organizations and private trusts are also eligible for seeking grants. The eligibility criteria for the said organizations are as follows: 2• The organization must have credible project management expertise, qualified core staff, and public health specialists, along with a minimum of five years of experience in community health and a proven track record. • The State/UT recommendation should clearly mention the organization’s credibility, past experience and the relevance and usefulness of the proposed project. • The organization must be registered under Societies Registration Act/Trust/Companies Act etc. • Under the Centre of Excellence (COE) component, reputed tertiary care hospitals (minimum 250 beds), Ayush institutions having 5 years of meritorious work in Ayush sector, adequate infrastructure, land, equipment, manpower can apply. Further, the applications submitted by the Non-Governmental organizations and private trusts are scrutinized as per the provisions contained in the scheme guidelines and Grants-in-aids to the eligible organizations are released after recommendation of Project Appraisal Committee (PAC) and final approval of Project Sanctioning Committee (PSC). ******* 3Annexure I Details of CoE projects supported under the Ayurswasthya Yojana Name of S.
