Will the Minister of Ayush be pleased to state:
a) whether the Government has undertaken measures to promote and
propagate AYUSH system of medicine among common people in the country
including rural areas;
b) if so, the details thereof including the measures taken by the Government
in Mau and Ballia districts of Uttar Pradesh in this regard;
c) whether the Government has established any dedicated educational
institute for AYUSH system of medicines during the last five years; and
d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) Yes, with the view to fulfil the mandate of propagation of Ayush System
of Healthcare, the Ministry implements a Central Sector Scheme for promotion of
Information, Education and Communication (IEC). This aims to reach out to all
sections of the population across the country including the rural areas. Under this
Scheme, the Ministry organises National/State level Arogya Fairs, Yoga
Fests/Utsavs, Ayurveda Parvs, celebrate important days, Participate in Health
fairs/melas, Exhibitions, etc., Provide financial assistance for organising seminars,
workshops, conferences and conduct multimedia, print media campaigns, etc., to
create awareness among citizens regarding Ayush systems of medicine.Under the IEC Scheme, the proposals are received on Ayush NGO portal from
organisations for conducting the events as per components of the Scheme. With
regard to Mau District and Ballia District of Uttar Pradesh, no proposal has been
received in the Ministry from any organisation under IEC Scheme. The activities
undertaken in the State of Uttar Pradesh in the last three years are as follows:
i.Participation in Expo: Rise in UP at Ghaziabad from 22nd-24th
