SHRI MATHESWARAN V S: Will the Minister of HOME AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) whether any sanctions to prosecute officials received from various investigating agencies are pending with the Ministry as per reports for more than three months and if so, the reasons for the same; (b) the total number of sanctions granted by the Government to prosecute the officials from 2014; and (c) the total number of sanctions rejected by the Government to prosecute the officials from 2014? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS (SHRI NITYANAND RAI) (a) As per records, till 28.02.2026, 10 sanctions to prosecute officials, received from central investigating agencies, are pending with this Ministry for more than 3 months. (b) to (c) Since 2014, this Ministry has granted 330 sanctions, received from central investigating agencies, to prosecute officials. However, 01 such sanction has been rejected. *******
