SANJNA JATAV: Will the Minister of MINES be pleased to state: (a) whether the Union Government has received any letter from the State Government of Rajasthan requesting relaxation from exploration work for creating blocks for the allocation of mining leases for quartz and feldspar minerals in the State; (b) if so, the date on which the said letter was received along with the details of action taken thereon so far; and (c) the time by which a decision is likely to be taken by the Government in this regard and if not, the reasons therefor? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE FOR COAL AND MINES (SHRI SATISH CHANDRA DUBEY) (a) & (b): Yes, Ministry of Mines has received the letter dated 16.07.2026 from the Government of Rajasthan requesting therein for relaxation from exploration work for creating blocks for the allocation of mining leases for quartz and feldspar minerals in the State. The letter was examined in light of the provisions of the MMDR Act, 1957 and rules made thereunder and a suitable reply was sent on 07.08.2026 to the State Government. (c): Does not arise in view of the above. *****
