SHRI RAMVIR SINGH BIDHURI: Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state: (a) the details of the complete plan for redevelopment of Srinivaspuri area in South Delhi Lok Sabha Constituency; (b) whether it was promised in 2019 that the first phase would be completed in thirty-six months after demolishing the houses in the said area but even after six years, the first phase has not been completed whereas the entire development is to be done in four phases and if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the shops in the said area were demolished and there was a plan to re-allot the said shops in the first phase itself but now the said work has been postponed to the fourth phase; and (d) if so, the time by which the said four phases of the proposed redevelopment would be completed? ANSWER THE MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS (SHRI TOKHAN SAHU) (a)&(b): Redevelopment Plan of GPRA colony at Srinivaspuri is taken up in following 4 packages: (i) Package-I (Type-III): 3112 Nos. Type – III residential quarters, one Multi Level Car Parking, CGHS Dispensary, Community Center. (ii) Package-II (Type-II): 1240 Nos. Type – II residential quarters with Multi Level Car Parking. (iii) Package-III (Type-IV): 1220 Nos. Type – IV residential quarters with utility block. (iv) Package-IV (Social infrastructure): Social infrastructure such as Shopping complex, Police stations, Maternity center, Post Office, BSES office, Community center etc. …2/--2- The work of Srinivaspuri Package-I colony was awarded in February 2019 and accordingly vacation of colony and demolition was carried out. However, due to non-receipt of tree transplantation permission from forest department the work could not be started and the Package-I work was terminated in February 2023. Currently, the Package-I work has been re-awarded in August 2025 and completion date of this Package-I is June 2028. (c): The shops have not been demolished. The social infrastructure work including the shopping complex is part of package-IV. (d): The timeline for completing the four packages of the said Redevelopment Plan is June 2030. *****
