RECRUITMENT IN BHEL
†1444. SHRI MURARI LAL MEENA:
Will the Minister of HEAVY INDUSTRIES be pleased to state:
(a) the group-wise details of sanctioned, actual and vacant posts of group 'A', 'B', 'C' and 'D' all CPUs
includes in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL);
(b) the group-wise details of current representation, vacant and backlog posts vis-a-vis those reserved
for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in BHEL;
(c) the details of special recruitment drives launched to fill up the vacant and backlog posts of
Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes category during the last three years and the year-wise results
thereof;
(d) whether the Government proposes to implement any time-bound action plan to ensure full
compliance of reservation provisions in BHEL, to fill up backlog vacancies expeditiously and to
increase Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes representation; and
(e) if so, the details thereof?
ANSWER

(a): Deployment of Manpower in the Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) under the
administrative control of Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI), depends upon the growth and volume
of the business and is not vacancy based. This Manpower strength expands or contracts to suit the
changing business outlook.
(b): The details of total incumbent in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) vis-à-vis
representation of Scheduled Castes (SCs)/Scheduled Tribes (STs) as on 20.07.2026, are as under:-
