SHRI P P CHAUDHARY: SHRI CHAVDA VINOD LAKHAMSHI: Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state: (a) whether the Government has initiated key project to develop major railway stations in the country under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme; (b) if so, the objectives and key features of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme; (c) the current progress of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, specifically regarding the number of stations taken up for redevelopment and the timeline for completion of the first phase, Statewise particularly in Rajasthan (Pali and Jalore Lok Sabha Constituencies and Sirohi district), Maharashtra (Palghar district), Madhya Pradesh (Sidhi Lok Sabha Constituency), Himachal Pradesh and NCT of Delhi; (d) the manner in which the Government ensures equitable distribution of station redevelopment projects across regions and Lok Sabha Constituencies;(e) the measures adopted to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities under the scheme and their alignment with the ‘Sugamya Bharat Abhiyan’; (f) whether the scheme integrates the ‘One Station One Product’ initiative and its impact on promoting local artisans, crafts, culture, handicrafts and indigenous industries at railway stations; and (g) if so, the details thereof particularly Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka? Jalore Lok Sabha Constituency: • At Jalor station, the work of main station building structural work and toilet block have been completed and the work of main station building finishing, construction of new Foot Over Bridge, platform shelter, improvement to platform surfacing, waiting hall, circulating and parking area have been taken up. • At Marwar Bhinmal station, the work of main station building structural work and toilet block have been completed and thework of main station building finishing, improvement to circulating and parking area, waiting hall, platform surfacing, provision of platform shelter and construction of new Foot Over Bridge have been taken up. Sirohi District: • At Pindwara station, the work of main station building, second entry station building, platform shelter, improvement to platform surfacing at platform no. 2, waiting hall and toilets have been completed and the work of construction of new Foot Over Bridge, circulating and parking area at both entries and platform surfacing at platform no. 1 and Divyangjan toilet work have been taken up. • Abu Road station is under master planning. Palghar District: • At Palghar station, the work of new platform shelter on platform no. 2/3, platform surfacing, new coping blocks and Divyangjan tactile tile work on platform no. 2/3 have been completed and the work of site preparation for new station building, new elevated deck and new Foot Over Bridge have been taken up. Sidhi Lok Sabha Constituency:• At Bargawan station, the work of construction of new station building, entrance porch, circulating area, improvement to waiting room, platform surfacing, platform shelter, parking, toilet block have been completed and the work of 12m wide Foot Over Bridge and second entry work have been taken up. • At Beohari station, the work of construction of new station building, entrance porch, circulating area, improvement to waiting room, platform surfacing, platform shelter, parking, toilet block, 12 m wide Foot Over Bridge work have been completed and the work of lift and escalator at platform no. 2 & 3 have been taken up. • Singrauli station is under master planning. Himachal Pradesh: • At Amb Andaura station, the work of improvement of station building, development of circulating area, parking, executive lounge with toilet, toilet block work, entry and exit gate, façade lighting and signage have been completed and the work of 12 m wide Foot Over Bridge with ramp and lift have been taken up. • Palampur Himachal and Shimla stations are under master planning. Delhi:• At Tilak Bridge station, the work of surfacing of platform no. 4 & 5, construction of temporary booking window, beautification of approach road, cleaning and maintenance facility at line no. 7 have been completed and the work of excavation for new building and Foot Over Bridge extension have been taken up. • At Sabzi Mandi station, the work of construction of new platform no. 4 & 5 along with washable apron and watering facility, surfacing of platform no. 2 & 3, widening of entry road, shifting of passenger reservation system and booking window to renovated building have been completed and the work of toilet block finishing, building footing casting have been taken up. • At Narela station, the work of replacement of coping of platform no. 1 & 2, shifting of booking window, platform shelter foundation and platform shelter fabrication, toilet block, widening of platform no. 2 including retaining wall and fencing have been completed and the work of plain cement concrete work, flooring and platform shelter launching have been taken up. Dakshina Kannada District: • At Bantawal station, the work of internal painting of the station building, roof sheeting work on platform no. 1, improvement of parking facility, paver block work and kerbstone work in circulating area have been completed and the work of improvement of portico, surfacing of platform no. 1 & 2 and improvement of station entry gate have been taken up. • At Subramanya Road station, the work of platform shelter installation and improvement of flooring on platform no. 2/3 has been completed. The works of improvement of station building, circulating area, portico, Foot Over Bridge and improvement of platform no. 1 have been taken up. • At Mangalore Jn. station, the work of new porch, station approach road, improvement to circulating area and parking area, improvement of station building, platform shelters, renovation of booking office and concourse with arrangement of Automatic Ticket Vending Machine facilities, coach indication boards, light masts have been completed and the work of the improvement to platform surfacing at platform no. 1, parcel office building, provision of signages and waiting hall have been taken up. • Mangalore Central station is under master planning. Master Planning is an iterative process requiring optimization and the time frame and other details for such optimization cannot be indicated at this stage. Amrit Bharat Station Scheme envisages development of stations on a continuous basis with a long-term approach. It involves preparation ofmaster plans and their implementation in phases to improve the amenities at the stations like improvement of station access, circulating areas, waiting halls, toilets, lift/escalators as necessary, platform surfacing and cover over platform, cleanliness, free Wi-Fi, kiosks for local products through schemes like ‘One Station One Product’, better passenger information systems, executive lounges, nominated spaces for business meetings, landscaping, etc. keeping in view the necessity at each station. The scheme also envisages improvement of building, integrating the station with both sides of the city, multimodal integration, amenities for Divyangjans, sustainable and environment friendly solutions, provision of ballastless tracks, etc. as per necessity, phasing and feasibility and creation of city centre at the station in long term. Indian Railways is committed to make its railway stations accessible for Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjans) and passengers with reduced mobility as part of “Sugamya Bharat Mission” or ‘Accessible India Campaign’ of Government of India. In compliance of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, “Guidelines on accessibility of Indian Railway stations and facilities at stations for differently abled persons (Divyangjans) and passengers with reduced mobility” have been circulated and notified in the Gazette of India. The guidelines include provisions of facilities for Divyangjans and passengers with reduced mobility such as entrance ramps, accessible parking, low height ticket counters/help booths, toilets, drinking water booths,subways/foot over bridges with ramps/lifts, standard signages including Braille signages and tactile pathways for visual impairment, etc. Upgradation / development / redevelopment of Railway Stations is complex in nature involving safety of passengers & trains and requires various statutory clearances such as fire clearance, heritage, tree cutting, airport clearance etc. The progress also gets affected due to brown field related challenges such as shifting of utilities (involving water/sewage lines, optical fibre cables, gas pipe lines, power/signal cables, etc.), infringements, operation of trains without hindering passenger movement, speed restrictions due to works carried out in close proximity of tracks and high voltage power lines, etc. and these factors affect the completion time. Therefore, no time frame can be indicated at this stage. The spatial distribution of stations across states are reasonably uniform and the scheme covers all states and union territories with rail connectivity. “One Station One Product” (OSOP) scheme is an independent scheme of Ministry of Railways with the objective to promote ‘Vocal for Local’ vision of the Government of India, provide a market for indigenous product and opportunity to railway passengers to experience the rich heritage of India and to buy local/indigenous product. Under this scheme, Indian Railways provide OSOP outlets (fixed stalls/ portabletrolleys) at railway stations across the country for showcasing, selling and giving high visibility to indigenous/local products. As on 14.07.2025, OSOP scheme has been implemented on 1996 stations with 2303 operational outlets across Indian Railways, including 04 (four) outlets in Dakshina Kannada District of Karnataka at Mangalore Central, Mangalore Jn., Bantawala and Subramanya Road stations. *****
