(a) the details of projects by Neyveli Lignite Corporation of India (NLC) in new and
renewable energy and the details of area of solar panel placed to generate solar energy in
NLC, Tamil Nadu;
(b) the details of investment made in such renewable projects;
(c) whether the new and renewable projects are running profitable; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (d) As per the information received from NLC India Limited (NLCIL), the details of its
renewable energy projects in Tamil Nadu are mentioned at Annexure-I. NLCIL has made
cumulative capital expenditure of Rs. 6,349.85 crore in the above renewable energy projects
with an equity investment of Rs. 1,857.59 crore. The total profit from these renewable projects
for the financial year 2024–25 is Rs. 234.78 crore.
