RESEARCH SCHEME OF NITI AAYOG
480. SHRI PRABHAKAR REDDY VEMIREDDY:
Will the Minister of PLANNING be pleased to state:
(a) the details of funds allocated and utilised under the Research
Scheme of NITI Aayog (RSNA) 2021 during the last five years,
year-wise;
(b) the details of organisations that have received financial support
for research under the scheme during the last five years, State-
wise particularly to Andhra Pradesh along with the nature and
subject of research supported;
(c) whether a monitoring and evaluation mechanism exists to track
the quality, timeliness and utilisation of research outputs under
the scheme and if so, the details thereof including steps taken
in cases of delay or non-delivery of research outcomes; and
(d) the details of the number of research projects approved,
commenced, completed and pending under the Research
Scheme of NITI Aayog (RSNA) 2021 during the last five years,
along with the average time taken for completion, year-wise?

Scheme of NITI Aayog (RSNA) during FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26 is as
follows:

(b) The list of the organisations/individuals that have received
funding under the Scheme to undertake specific research projects
during FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26 is placed at Annexure. The Scheme
does not have any State-wise allocation.
(c) Yes Sir. The RSNA guidelines and the contract issued to the
consultant prescribes the governing terms of performance. Further,
the release of the fees is linked with evaluation of the quality of the
research study report. Delay or non-submission of the research
report has consequences in terms of penalty or termination of the
contract. The details may be perused in the RSNA guidelines at the

(d) A total of 87 research study projects were approved and
commenced during the period from FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26. During
the same period, 67 projects have been completed, while 42 projects
remain ongoing as on 15.07.2026. The time taken for completion

individual study. The year wise details are tabulated below:
