(a) the total number of components that are being implemented under Rashtriya Krishi
Vikas Yojana (RKVY) including Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana is Remunerative Approaches
for Agriculture and Allied Sector Rejuvenation (RAFTAAR) during the last three years;
(b) the number of beneficiaries, component-wise, State-wise and district-wise for the State
of Andhra Pradesh;
(c) the amount of funds that have been allocated and utilized under the above scheme,
component-wise, State-wise and district-wise for the State of Andhra Pradesh;
(d) whether additional allocation will be provided to States if funds provided under the
components have been fully utilized, if so, the additional allocations that have been
provided, component-wise, State-wise and district-wise for the State of Andhra Pradesh;
and
(e) the steps taken to mitigate risks of farmers with a focus on additional income generation
activities under the scheme and whether any training initiatives were carried out under the
scheme and if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(d): Additional funds are allocated to the better performing states on the basis of
utilization of funds and from the savings availability, if any, after mid-term review of the
scheme. Additional allocations of Rs.57.46 crore (under PKVY) and Rs.102.00 crore
(under PDMC) were made during financial year 2023-24 and 2024-25 respectively to the
State of Andhra Pradesh.
(e): For mitigating the risk of farmers and additional income generation, farmers are
supported through Integrated Farming System (IFS) under RAD. The beneficiaries are
provided Rs. 30,000/- and they are encouraged to adopt mixed cropping practices like
horticulture, livestock, fishery, plantation, apiculture etc. to enhance productivity, minimize
risk associated with climate variability and improve livelihoods of farmers.
As reported by the State of Andhra Pradesh, several training programs and
capacity-building initiatives have been carried out under PDMC scheme to equip farmers
with the knowledge and skills necessary to adopt improved practices:
i. Farmer Training Programs: - On best practices in micro irrigation, crop
planning, fertigation, pest management and climate-resilient practices.
ii. Exposure Visits of farmers to successful model farms to encourage adoption
of innovative farming techniques.
iii. Skill Development Programs on topics (i.e. integrated nutrient management,
organic farming, value addition and marketing strategies) conducted in collaboration in
collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs), Horticultural Universities, and other
training institutes.
iv. Capacity Building of Extension Staffs: - Continuous training of field
functionaries and APMIP technical staff to ensure effective on-ground implementation and
farmer handholding.
