SHRI GYANESHWAR PATIL पे(cid:282)ो(cid:871)लयम और (cid:292)ाकृ(cid:467)तक गैस मं(cid:287)ी Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state: (a) whether the share of a non-SC/ST spouse of an SC/ST proprietor/partner in case of his/her induction as a partner in the dealership is likely to be treated as part of the SC/ST share under the joint reconstitution policy of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), if so, the details thereof; (b) whether the benefit of this policy is available only to those who are presently SC/ST proprietors/partners in a dealership and induct their non-SC/ST spouse as a partner or whether it is also available in cases where a new incoming SC/ST applicant applies for induction of his/her non- SC/ST spouse as a partner, if so, the details thereof; (c) whether the above policy is not applicable to new incoming SC/ST applicants and if so, the reasons therefor; and (d) whether any process is underway to amend the policy in this regard and if so, the time by which it is likely to be done and if not, the reasons therefor along with the steps likely to be taken to include such process in the policy in keeping with its original intent? ANSWER पेट(cid:332)ोिलयम और (cid:366)ाकृ ितक गैस मं(cid:361)ालय म(cid:336) रा(cid:475) मं(cid:361)ी ((cid:373)ी सुरेश गोपी) MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS (SHRI SURESH GOPI) (a) As per the joint reconstitution policy of Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), if non-SC/ST spouse of SC/ST Proprietor / Partner is inducted as partner, their share in the dealership shall be counted as SC/ST share. (b)& (c) The benefit of this policy is available only to those who are presently SC/ST proprietors/partners in a dealership and induct their non-SC/ST spouse as a partner. This benefit is not available at the first instance to a new incoming SC/ST applicant who seeks to simultaneously induct his/her non-SC/ST spouse as a partner. In the event of a reconstitution involving the induction of new partner(s), each incoming partner must individually meet the eligibility criteria, including category. (d) Currently, there is no proposal under consideration by Public Sector OMCs to amend the reconstitution policy. ****
