MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS
(SHRI SURESH GOPI)
(a) As per the joint reconstitution policy of Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs), if
non-SC/ST spouse of SC/ST Proprietor / Partner is inducted as partner, their share in the dealership
shall be counted as SC/ST share.
(b)& (c) The benefit of this policy is available only to those who are presently SC/ST
proprietors/partners in a dealership and induct their non-SC/ST spouse as a partner. This benefit is
not available at the first instance to a new incoming SC/ST applicant who seeks to simultaneously
induct his/her non-SC/ST spouse as a partner. In the event of a reconstitution involving the induction
of new partner(s), each incoming partner must individually meet the eligibility criteria, including
category.
(d) Currently, there is no proposal under consideration by Public Sector OMCs to amend the
reconstitution policy.
