(a) the details of Government schemes being implemented in Andhra Pradesh for enhancing agricultural productivity and farmers' income during the last three years;
(b) the physical and financial progress of these schemes, scheme-wise; and
(c) the extent to which these interventions have contributed to yield improvement and income enhancement of farmers in the State? ANSWER MINISTER OF STATE FOR AGRICULTURE AND FARMERS WELFARE कृ िष एवं िकसान क(cid:670)ाण रा(cid:475) मं(cid:361)ी (SHRI RAMNATH THAKUR)
(a) The Government of India is implementing a comprehensive range of Central Sector and Centrally Sponsored Schemes and programmes aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and increasing farmers’ income across all States, including Andhra Pradesh.
These schemes encompass entire spectrum of agriculture, including credit, insurance, income support, infrastructure, crops (including horticulture), seeds, mechanization, marketing, organic and natural farming, farmer collectives, irrigation, extension, procurement of crops from farmers at minimum support prices and digital agriculture. The list of agriculture related schemes implemented by Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare (DA&FW) across all States, including Andhra Pradesh, is placed at Annexure-I.
(b) The scheme-wise financial progress of the schemes being implemented by the DA&FW during the last three years is given at Annexure-II, while the scheme-wise physical progress is provided at Annexure-III.
(c) The interventions under the above schemes have contributed to improvement in agricultural productivity and enhancement of farmers’ income. The crop-wise productivity levels in Andhra Pradesh are provided at Annexure-IV. Further, the impact of these schemes on farmers’ income is reflected in the following: Indian Council on Agricultural Research (ICAR) has released a compilation of success stories of 75,000 farmers who have increased their income more than two times through convergence of schemes of DA&FW and the allied Ministries/Departments.
The National Sample Survey Office (NSSO), Ministry of Statistics and Programme implementation (MoSPI) conducted a Situation Assessment Survey (SAS) of Agricultural Households during NSS 77th round (January 2019-December 2019) with reference to the agricultural year July 2018- June 2019 in the rural areas of the country. According to this survey, the estimated average monthly income per agricultural household increased from ₹6,426 in 2012-13 (NSS 70th round) to ₹10,218 in 2018-19 (NSS 77th round).
As per NSSO Survey on House hold Consumption Expenditure (2023-24), a comparison of the estimates of all-India average Monthly Per Capita Consumption Expenditure
(MPCE) is as under:

Of this, Rs. 783.10 Cr was disbursed to 39,15,504 beneficiaries during the 21st instalment.
Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan Dhan 32,408 farmers have been enrolled.
Yojana (PM-KMY) Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana Insurance companies have settled and disbursed
(PMFBY)/Restructured Weather Based claims worth ₹5,580.1 crore.
Crop Insurance Scheme (RWBCIS) Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF) 5,663 projects have been approved with total project cost of Rs. 5,128 crores. Out of which Rs 3,030 Crore have been sanctioned.
Formation and Promotion of 10,000 new 714 FPOs have been registered.
Farmer Producers Organizations
(FPOs) National Bee Keeping and Honey 5 projects amounting to Rs. 190.06 lakhs have Mission (NBHM) been sanctioned.
Pradhan Mantri Annadata Aay During 2024-25, 87,303.25 MT of Copra, Gram, SanraksHan Abhiyan (PM-AASHA) moong Tur and Urad have been procured amounting to ₹669.33 Crore.
Per Drop More Crop (PDMC) 11.25 lakh ha has been covered under Micro Irrigation and Rs 3,192.49 crore (Central Share) has been released.
Sub-Mission on Agriculture More than 2,79,515 agricultural machines have Mechanization (SMAM) been distributed to farmers.
Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana 3.61 lakh ha covered under organic farming &
(PKVY) 7.47 lakh no. of farmers have been benefitted.
Soil Health & Fertility (SH&F) 1,58,32,830 soil health cards have been distributed till now against the target of 1,63,06,877.
Rainfed Area Development (RAD) 69,524 ha has been covered and Central Assistance of Rs 123.97 Cr has been released.
Sub-Mission on Agriculture Extension From 2020-21 to 2025-26, 5,60,545 farmers
(SMAE) have been provided training under the scheme.
Sub-Mission on Seed and Planting 6.21 lakh farmers have been benefited, and 2.21 Material (SMSP) lakh quintals of seeds were stored in the National Seed Reserve for natural disasters.
National Food Security and Nutrition During the last three years, 95,157 ha of field Mission (NFSNM) demonstrations were conducted, 56,417 quintals seed were distributed and 32,673 quintals seed have been produced.Integrated Scheme for Agriculture 1551 Storage Infrastructure Projects have been Marketing (ISAM) sanctioned with capacity of more than 6 million tonnes. An amount to Rs 31,936.74 Lakhs have been released as subsidy.
Mission for Integrated Development of From 2014-15 to 2024-25, 1634 Cold Storages Horticulture (MIDH) infrastructures with capacity of 7.41 Million tonnes have been created, 19,626 market infrastructures have been set up, 997 nurseries have been established and 11.08 Lakh farmers have been trained in various horticulture activities.
National Mission on Edible Oils 91,906 ha coverage as of January 2026.
(NMEO)-Oil Palm National Mission on Edible Oils 4.04 lakh ha has been covered under Oilseeds
(NMEO)-Oilseeds during 2024-25.
Digital Agriculture Mission 45,33,556 Farmer IDs have been generated.
National Bamboo Mission 42 ha non-forest area has been covered under bamboo Plantation and 288 persons have been
