(a) the details of the schemes implemented by the Government to incentivize food processing units
across the country;
(b) whether the schemes under Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY), Production
Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry (PLISFPI) and Pradhan Mantri
Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme are State or region-specific
and if so, the details thereof;
(c) the total grants disbursed under these schemes during the last three years;
(d) the categories of organizations eligible to receive grants under these schemes; and
(e) the steps taken by the Government to ensure equitable distribution of grants and encourage

(a) to (c): In order to incentivize setting up/expansion of Food Processing infrastructure, Ministry of Food
Processing Industries (MoFPI) is implementing two Central Sector Schemes namely Pradhan Mantri Kisan
SAMPADA Yojana (PMKSY) and Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Food Processing Industry
(PLISFPI). Further, a Centrally sponsored scheme namely PM Formalization of Micro Food Processing
Enterprises (PMFME) scheme is also being implemented by MoFPI.
These schemes are not region specific or state specific but demand driven and financial assistance is
provided to the eligible applicants and is implemented across the country. The total funds released under
these schemes since 2022-23 is as under-
