Schools Covered under PM SHRI Scheme
1296. Shri S Venkatesan:
Will the Minister of EDUCATION be pleased to state:
(a) the number of schools that have been covered by PM SHRI Scheme in the country so far,
State/UT-wise; and
(b) the details of the number of teachers appointed in these schools for Non Hindi native
languages, language-wise and State/UT-wise?

(a) & (b): Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) is a centrally sponsored scheme
which aims to strengthen more than 14,500 schools across the country. As of now, a total of 13,092
schools have been selected as PM SHRI schools across the States/UTs including
KVS/NVS/NCERT.
The State/UT-wise number of PM SHRI schools and the details of teachers appointed in
these schools for non-Hindi native languages, language-wise and State/UT-wise is attached as
Annexure.
