(a) the details of software exports from Software Technology Parks (STPs) across the country
including STPs in Maharashtra during each of the last five years, STP-wise;
(b) the details of incubation facilities established by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)
including the funds sanctioned, released and utilized, State-wise;
(c) the detailed status of the incubation centre at Maharashtra University including the funds
allocated, disbursed, utilised and progress achieved along with the reasons for construction delays,
if any; and
(d) whether the Government proposes to establish additional incubation centres across the country
and if so, the details thereof?

The Software Technology Park of India (STPI) is the one of the most important schemes which
has expanded the IT/ITES sector beyond major cities in India:
β 68 STPI centres are established across the country, of which 60 are located in Tier-2 &
Tier-3 cities
β In the last five years, STPI has established 9 new incubation centres established across the
country in last 5 years
β Additionally, 15 new Centres of Entrepreneurship (CoEs) have been established, bringing
the total number of CoEs to 24
β With a total outlay of Rs 445.77 Cr, STPI has supported 1121 startups through various
schemes/programs of MeitY.
β Rs 39.86 Cr was disbursed as direct funding to 590 startups during last 3 financial years.
STP-wise software exports from Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) Centres including
Maharashtra during the last five years is attached as Annexure β I.
The STPI centres across India provides facilities of about 4,349 plug and play incubation seats and
about 5.96 Lakh sq. ft. raw incubation space with details attached at Annexure β II.
STPI Centres are running 24 Centres of Entrepreneurship (COE) supporting startups with
sanctioned amount of Rs 350.74 crore, with released amount of Rs. 213.37 crore and utilized
amount as Rs 173.38 crore. Details of CoEs are placed at Annexure β III.
At present, there are six incubation facilities in Maharashtra, located at Chhatrapati Sambhaji
Nagar, Kolhapur, Nagpur, Nashik, Navi Mumbai, and Pune. In addition, Centres of Excellence
(CoEs) in Automotive and AgriTech sectors have been established at Pune and Akola,
respectively.
